Vehicle Ergonomic Assessment Bendigo

Just like the desk is the workstation for an office worker, the car is the workstation for employees who spend prolonged periods driving.

A vehicle ergonomic assessment helps to ensure the vehicle is adjusted to suit the individual requirements of the user, as well as provides an opportunity to provide tailored education and training to the employee to best prevent injury.

Vehicle ergonomic assessments also allow us to provide you with advice on the suitability of fleet vehicles, by helping you determine if a vehicle is fit for purpose.

Our car ergonomic assessments are performed by qualified and experienced Workplace Physiotherapists who have an in-depth understanding of ergonomics and workplace injury prevention.

What is included in a Vehicle Ergonomic Assessment?

  • An ergonomic assessment by a qualified and experienced Workplace Physiotherapist who specialises in ergonomics and workplace injury prevention. The assessment includes a discussion with the employee about any symptoms or problems they are experiencing, as well as an assessment of the vehicle.

  • If it is practical to make changes to the car set up to help with the presenting symptoms or problems, these changes will be made on the day of the vehicle assessment.

  • Tailored education and advice to help with your employees' symptoms.

  • If your employee performs manual handling tasks as part of the role on the road (i.e. carrying items to and from the car), tailored manual handling training will be provided.

  • A detailed report provided to your nominated HR/OHS representative outlining our findings and recommendations.
