Workplace Manual Handling Risk Assessments
The purpose of a manual handling risk assessment is to proactively identify manual handling risks. By proactively identifying these risks, safe work practices can be implemented, or tasks can be modified to reduce the risk associated with a manual handling task, thereby reducing the risk of a workplace injury occurring. Manual handling training can also then be designed and tailored to suit the specific manual handling requirements of your workforce.

Our approach to performing a manual handling risk assessment is to (1) identify manual handling risks, and (2) provide you with suggestions and advice to help you address the risks that were identified.

To perform a risk assessment, we will observe your employees performing their usual workplace duties, to gain an understanding of the physical demands of your workforce and to ascertain the manual handling risks. You will then receive a report which outlines the physical stresses and manual handling risks associated with each workplace task.
