Functional Capacity Evaluations in Bendigo
A Functional Capacity Assessment (FCA) or Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is used to assess and employee's physical capacity and ability, to determine if they have the ability to safely perform the inherent requirements of the job.

Our Functional Capacity Assessments are performed offsite at our clinic location in Bendigo and are performed by qualified and experienced Workplace Physiotherapists.

During a Functional Capacity Evaluation, we will gather a range of physical metrics so that we can prepare a report for you that quantitatively and qualitatively describes the physical ability of the individual being assessed. You can then use this information to compare to a Job Dictionary, Job Task Analysis or Suitable Duties Matrix to determine if the individual has the physical capacity to safely perform the job, or if they may be able to perform some tasks within a job whilst avoiding other tasks.

We recommend making your Functional Capacity Assessments as specific as possible to the actual tasks that are performed in your workplace. We can help you with this by first doing a Job Task Analysis (JTA), so that the Functional Capacity Assessment template can then be modelled off the findings of the JTA.
